So, Trump, the dealmaker, grabbed $8 billion to build 200 mile wall, while a construction company says they could build it for a fraction of that price.

What's wrong with this picture?

A U.S. company is offering to build 234 miles of President Trump's border wall for just $1.4 billion, a fraction of the $8 billion the Trump administration is hoping to use for that project.

If they are willing to do it on a firm-fixed contract, I'd say have it at.

That’s a no go for Dear Leader. It doesn’t have “TRUMP” in huge neon letters every 500 feet.

Look at the two Leftists in this thread already looking for a way to bash Trump. Just because a company comes up with a crazy low bid does not mean it is a legitimate offer or does not have strings attached. You wouldn't accept a contractor to work on your house just because they have the lowest bid. You have to look at the fine print and the details. It might not be what you think it is or the quality you have in mind.

Just more silly, unwarranted bashing of Trump by the left and so typical. Trump has never advocated for what you are claiming.

Exactly. Trump was a developer so I trust him to spot these phony low bid companies from a mile a way.

Did this company submit a proposal through the PROPER PROCEDURE for bidding on contracts?

You seem to like socialism a lot and as usual do NOT want to follow the laws and rules that socialism requires.

"a fraction of the $8 billion the Trump administration is hoping to use for that project"

AGAIN you prove your LACK of knowledge on a subject you want chime in on.

The $8 B is NOT only for building.

Did the go through the bidding process? Was it a legit offer, timing, constraints? I love the people here who just mud sling without have a clue on how even a basic contract or project is phased. Clickbait.

Who are the leftists?

The problem is that no one knows what Trumps estimate includes. He just grabbed the money, but offers no details. Does it include roads? Electronic surveillance? Or only a wall.....No one knows. All we know is that he grabbed $8 billion from the military for a wall project.
