It isn't a mystery. What we see here is what I've been saying for months - that Democrats do not want to acknowledge the rising antisemitism among them. If they were to come right out and admonish Omar and/or condemn antisemitism, they fear they will alienate Muslim and black voters, to some extent at least. Thus, they are downplaying the antisemitic aspect by folding in all these other issues.
Are you aware that Jews are much more likely to be on the receiving end of a hate crime than are Muslims or blacks?

This also shows why it is absolutely paramount for Jews to have their own country where they can determine their own fate. Antisemitism is on the rise throughout the world, including here, and if Jews continue to be demonized and scapegoated (we've had some nasty comments even on this forum, which I won't repeat), who knows where we'll be in 20 years. I'd like Israel as a refuge for persecuted Jews everywhere, including myself. Maybe I'll live out my senior years there.
The D's desperately want the Muslim vote & if that means they sacrifice the Jew vote, so be it. It's like how the sacrificed the White blue collar/laborer/union vote, or the farmer vote. It's nothing personal against the Jews, it's just business. It's 2019 & the Jews are rich, White people. There's no victim angle in that anymore. There's also not millions of penniless, ignorant Jews trying to get into the country & vote. There are however, hundreds of millions of penniless, ignorant Muslims who would love to get into the US & would gladly vote Democrat in exchange for free stuff & the D party turning on the Jews.
