Wrong. Different sovereign. Has nothing to do with the federal charges and sentencing and I think the consensus is that this is a fall back because based on Manafort's lawyer's stupid "no collusion" lies after sentencing, the likelihood seems high that Trump will pardon Manafort or at least commute his sentence.

good thing you are a doctor and not a lawyer. That's a completely incorrect statement

So they locked him up for criminal activity committed before he met Trump. In fact it was with the Democrats.

Not sure why the leftists are excited by that.

The crimes he committed while working for Hillary??? Just face it already, Mueller was head of FBI when all this happened. He knew what Manafort was up to but turned a blind eye because he was doing it while working for Hillary.

Still, more garden variety fiancial crimes. Do you want cucumber in your salad ma'am?

Sure, that's it. And it just happens that Manafort is guilty as hell, too!

The Republicans have made it clear that anyone they think is guilty of something should be locked up. So be it. Manafort is guilty and should be locked up.

It is quite clear Trump is considering a pardon for Manafort's Federal crimes, but he can't help him with this. It appears that Trump is not serious about justice. Those 'lock up' chants were just a bunch of nonsense with this crew, just like "Mexico will pay for the wall". Just blowing smoke ... total BS.

You people are too wrapped up in conspiracy theories. Get real.

If you guys wonder why things aren't going your way, that's why, because you believe nonsense and when these things are seriously studied there is nothing there.

I may not be a lawyer, but at least I know how to read the article that we were all supposed to read before commenting on it.

“Mr. Manafort’s lawyers likely will challenge the new indictment on double jeopardy grounds. New York state law includes stronger protections than those provided by the United States Constitution”

You are claiming justice is vindictive?

Then injustice, the opposite, is forgiving? Black is now white, and white is black? Up is down ...

Is that how it works?!?

That is exactly what I said. Second sentence, my post, #9, "Still, no Russian collusion."

I'll forgive your oversight, since you apparently haven't been following the original Manafort sentencing thread with my back and forth with the brown shirts about [i]still not Russian collusion[i]. They are sure that just around the corner the Russkies are going to appear in full flower. It is the Democrat stink weed fantasy.
