Only in places like California and Venezuela could this happen.
That is just what happened in 2008 on Wall St. Those most responsible for the crash got huge bonuses rather than indictments and and serious prison time.

PG&E's stock has recovered after dropping from >40 down to almost $7 and is now up near $20.

Must be some "word" about how the state is looking to reform things giving hope that the shareholders will keep some of their value.

Yes, it is that simple. Even the American Indians that were here before Europeans knew America existed understood that controlled burning was necessary for a healthy forest. It wasn't until the "environmentalist" craze that it suddenly became taboo.

And yes, Florida has some of the same problems - although for slightly different reasons. The draining and damming of the Everglades was possibly the worst idea in history, as far as land management goes.
