He wasn't a bad cop. How do you come to that conclusion based on one interaction? In fact, I thought I heard the officer was on the force 14 years without any complaints.
Second he was responding to a report of a suspicious person, he had to ask the proper questions. The guy being questioned, had a major attitude problem , swore and refused to comply. Yeah he was cleaning and he looked innocent but he should have toned it down a bit and complied.
Oh please. The cop wouldn't let it go & the guy had every right to get annoyed. The cop even said that he could say he felt threatened by, wait for it, a garbage picker upper thingie. Yeah. And then when the cop called it in, he stated it was "some sort of blunt object". The whole time, he was recording his stupidity, thankfully. And then 6 more cops come by to harass the guy picking up garbage? And THEN the cops don't even bother to ID the white guy, they just take his word for it?? If you can't see racism when it's smacking you in the face, then you have a problem.
I'm surprised people didn't come out to see what was going on. Very odd.
Just another example of a Democrat run city allowing cops to put black people in their place.
Anyone wonder why it's almost always Democrat controlled police departments doing this
By having their police out of control, they can harvest votes from outraged people who aren't smart enough to realize it's the government.
Democrat mayors and city councils allow police to abuse minorities, because Al and Jesse will tell their people Democrats oppose such things and need votes.
he refused to cooperate and refused to drop what could be a weapon. Police would have been within their rights to shoot him.
The police never once told him he was under arrest though, so there is no need to drop the garbage tool and cooperate, since there was nothing to cooperate with at all.
The whole incident was stupid. The police officer was on a power trip. He knew that the black guy was picking up trash and that it wasn’t a “weapon.†When the black guy got smart with him (due to being annoyed by being questioned by a police officer for picking up trash), the officer couldn’t get past his pride, and so he kept his ridiculous witch-hunt going.

Well for people who are saying the cop didn't do anything bad, then if that is so, why was the cop pressured to resign? He must have done something bad here, unless he didn't at all, and it's all politics?

I'm sure it will be turned into a left wing, liberal agenda thing, and more persecution of the Right by some on this board. They LOVE to play the victim.
