HLN Headline News did a story on this.

A nosy neighbor called the cops:

If the police were in the wrong, they should be reprimanded. But I won't rush to judgment until more is known.

I was probably being too nice by referring to the neighbor as nosy.

After listening to the HLN story, my first thought was...it's too bad the neighbor can't be charged with something.

The police were right to be suspicious. A black man "working"....without being forced to? Come on maaaan....who was he trying to fool? That enough is grounds for suspicion. Good thing he was not with a women and children.......because everyone knows black men don't do that

That must be a conservative city. I can hear the 911 call by the neighbor: "Uhhhh...hello. We have a guy next door pretending like he is cleaning up trash. We have had some burglaries around here lately and I have never seen this guy before and don't think he lives here"

Funny how the right wants women who alledge assault to be charged when it can’t be proven, but they are strangely silent on cases like these.

We've all seen how it can be life threatening to be driving while black.

So, now it's risky to be picking up your back yard while black.

What's next?

Sadly, it was in Boulder......which a number of people consider to be a fairly liberal city.

You seem disappointed that it took place in a leftist town as opposed to a conservative town. Why Most racism I've experienced has been in leftist cities/towns.

We don't know everything but if the cops are over zealous they should be reprimanded.

On another note I find it humorous that a website calling itself Newsone would write a paragraph like this:

The man was fortunate to survive the encounter. The troubling trend of police killing unarmed Black people have shown no signs of letting up, from Tamir Rice to Botham Shem Jean to Emantic “EJ” Bradford Jr., there appears to be a new nearly shooting every week.

I probably would avoid this kind of "news" as much as I avoid Breitbart.
