I'm a registered Independent...for years, I constantly changed my party cuz I was sick and tired of what they were doing each year in their political control. I am bound and determined that both parties are morally and spiritually corrupt...there is nothing more dangerous, then a complete left or right...they can see no other alternative and are not open minded at all...they defend their party, no matter how corrupt they are...and defend lies, b/c they fear admitting that their party is wrong....

Some people fear being disloyal to family, b/c for years, their father's have been either one or the other...and they will defend that party, no matter how corrupt....

I wanted to make a difference, and if it were up to me, there would be more parties...reason being, it might break the powerful hold these two parties have on the U.S.

They are corrupt and definately not at all concerned for the people....They do not work for the people...but for themselves...it's all about money...and power...and it will be our demise...and this started way way back with the civil war....which was more then about political power then about slavery.

I'm an independent who leans toward the old conservative ways....

I am disenchanted with both parties. I could, and probably will write a substantial essay describing why, but for now I summarize with the idea that both parties are controlled by Big Money. Big Money is concerned with privilege, power and profits and prefers dictatorship or feudalism to any form of Republic because the former are easier to control.

I've felt the same way for years....I'm sick of Congress, they get paid for showing up or not showing up for work...and that ethical loss alone is spreading thru America like wildfire...

Absolutely....there is control which has been long taking place....and if this country doesn't wake up and demand a change, we will be in big trouble....I fear, it is now even to late....

I hope when people vote, they remember, you never get something for nothing...believe it.

In reality, Democrats tend to tax and spend whereas the Republicans borrow and spend (which costs more due to interest). Thus, they all spend. The national debt is scandalous. All this government borrowing and deficit spending will come back to haunt us.

In the end, we all end up paying. The people who work for a living get shafted. I'm an independent voter.

But notice how the budget became balanced in the '90s only after Republicans won control of Congress and the Republican's balanced budget Amendment was passed.

Also, I believe during the last several months, the deficit is being cut.
