A new report out of the Wall Street Journal, owned by Trump ally Rupert Murdoch, says that Michael Cohen’s attorney spoke to Trump’s attorneys about the possibility of a pardon after the FBI raid on his home and office, when the two sides were cooperating on identifying documents seized that were covered by attorney-client privilege. An attorney for Michael Cohen discussed the possibility of a pardon with lawyers for President Donald Trump after federal agents raided his properties last year.
Congressional investigators are now looking into those conversations, according to document requests issued Monday by the House Judiciary Committee to 81 Trump associates, reported the Wall Street Journal.

Why would they pardon him?

The pardon discussions were likely before Cohen changed his mind about covering for Trump.

Still wondering how much Cohen's mob connections play into all of this.

Funny how that works... When Cohen, or anyone else, testifies defending Trump, Liberals believe they're lying. Then when these same people get convicted of lying, not paying taxes, or something else that, in most cases, has nothing to do with Trump or Russian collusion and they're trying to get a reduced sentence, you guys suddenly take every negative thing that comes out of their mouths as gospel sent by God himself...

Cohen is an opportunist, unethical, liar. He's not a credible witness whether he's defending or attacking Trump. I also don't trust the word of someone who's having their freedom held for ransom based on whether they "cooperate" aka tell the investors what they want to hear or not...

I find the "leak" to be not creditable. I believe it came from John Baron or whatever name Trump is going by.

If Cohen had lied again, SDNY would have him in a cage right now.

So Cohen handing over checks that were meant to pay said people off isn’t credible enough for you?

People "talk abort" all sorts of things.

Becaue we on here "talk about" an issue does NOT mean we either support it of dislike it.

Some have WAY TOO much time on their hands!

More like "Give me a pardon or I'll go in front of Congress and tell the truth about you."

The same also applies to Trump.

There's likely three scenarios here, Trump's lies, Cohen's lies, and what actually happened.

No. Handing off copies of checks is evidence that Cohen received checks. The only evidence that the checks were meant to pay for certain things is the words of Cohen himself. Cohen is not credible. Cohen will never be credible.
