Not only the true nature of Trump but of the Republicans who are covering for him.
Also, it's not that there is no impeachable evidence. As I understand it there is not enough evidence for bipartisan support of impeachment.
Until there is, it would be a waste of time and energy that could be better spent.
Covering for what crime?

On the other hand, Trump is the proverbial bull in a China shop and the longer he stays in office, the more damage he does to his party and himself.
The Democrats don't need to invoke impeachment for a vote of no confidence.
However, you're wrong about the definition: Impeachment in the United States is the process by which the lower house of a legislature brings charges against a civil officer of government for crimes alleged to have been committed, analogous to the bringing of an indictment by a grand jury.
"Impeachment is so divisive to the country that unless there’s something so compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan, I don’t think we should go down that path, because it divides the country. And he’s just not worth it," Pelosi told the Post.
Maybe you haven't been following current events? Mueller has filed 199 criminal charges so far, either against Trump team members, former Trump associates or foreign actors who worked in Trump's favor.
No, she said that rather than drag the country through an impeachment hearing, and unless he has done something particularly egregious and illegal, he's not worth dividing the country over.
Unless you've read the Mueller report, which hasn't come out yet, and will probably not be completely released to the public, you know as much as anyone else in this matter, which is zero.
Pelosi CAN'T impeach Trump.
The Dems got conned. Many of them in this forum actually believed it was possible.
For Trump to be actually impeached the Republican party would have to approve. The only way this happens is if Mueller provides indisputable evidence that Trump committed a serious crime. No one knows what evidence Mueller has. We know that in a investigation they start with the little guy and work their way up. Know one knows how far up the ladder this investigation goes. We won't know until Mueller releases his report. Anyone who says he is guilty or not guilty has no clue. Pelosi is simply saying we need to put this on the back burner until there is evidence to support impeachment. It is good move on her part. No need to put the cart before the horse.

Perfectly logical response from Pelosi. Not sure what all the furor is about.
Purely speculation but one theory is that Mueller may be holding back his final indictments for Trump family members. He won't issue those until the end, since Trump would surely fire him when he does. An interesting idea but the reality is that we won't know for sure until Mueller is actually finished.
I didn't vote because nothing that you offered in the poll fits the truth.
The truth as I understand it is that while the Senate is so highly partisan, the probability of a conviction is very low.
Pelosi probably figures that she can do the republicans more damage by passing progressive legislation and having the Senate reject it.
Pelosi cleverly realizes that the media would focus on the impeachment and how the Senate would quickly reject a conviction.

Yes, clever politics by Pelosi. She makes the rational move of taking impeachment off the front burner while delivering a vicious little kick to Trump in the process. Brilliant.
