If this stuff is true then America is already down the toilet.

YouTube - Glenn Beck - The Real Story, Touching the Third Rail

YouTube - Tent cities spring up in LA

I dont honestly know... is this true?? I would like your thoughts as I am not American.

Well thanks for making this easy, as you said what I was thinking also. I'm afraid we are so far down the drain it will be impossible to pull ourselves out. I'm normally an optimist, but when it comes to our country's future, I'm sadly doom n' gloom. The 'system' is so broke it's beyond fixable.

Oh - and add 'ban political correctness' to that list!

Not happy here much either. The bottom line is that half the country is going in the opposite direction of approximately the other half. Like a pendulum swing or ping pong ball, every 4 or 8 years, slightly more than half of us get so disgusted with who is in the WH, we vote in the opposite idealogy, and so it goes back and forth..... The way the country is going was evident in the narrow lead for GWB, so narrow and controversial, the Supreme Court had to get involved. What kind of consensus is that for choosing a President? Insane.

Sadly, we have little to NOTHING anymore to bind us together. Any mention of religion is caput, values just not cool anymore and downright passe, those stupid fools who still "believe" are automatically eliminated as crazy from any public dialogue. Any title of "godless" on a book cover is instantly a best seller. We have been sold down river with multiculturalism constantly and methodically shoved down our throats, including our precious and innocent children in the socialist warehouses of today, which used to be called "schools". Criminal illegal immigrants are on the bandwagon thinking they actually have "rights" in my country! And it is allowed, with the Master Buffoon in the WH leading the charge.

The once respectable democratic party has gone mad; the GOP not much better, trying to win the approval of this minority or that by swinging ever more left. There is no longer respect for our government officials, too many not deserving of our respect, corrupt politicans, crass, lewd, liars. And the Precedent (pardon pun) of them all, at least in our recent history, may be back in the WH again in January! The other choice a smooth talking, glib communist, with filthy diabolical mentors and "friends". And finally an old war veteran, who doesn't know where he stands, waiting on the latest poll to tell him what to think... What a grand "choice", as we watch a once great Nation go down the tubes. Come on in Osama and ilk, we are about ready for you and yours. Maybe you really can do a better job on us.

To top it off, PC has virtually obliterated the desire for people to give their opinions/ideas/recommendations on our vast and escalating domestic problems, including race, gay issues, education, gun rights, pedophilia/pornography, etc. It has instead fostered an angry, mean spirited attitude against each other, as fellow Americans. Let's not forget the ever present sinister media in our lives, which we freely admit into our homes and lives, spaces that used to be sacred. But now we willingly wallow in their rubbish. And for what? Do they care about us?? More down and dirty bottom line: they care about their ratings and their own self-aggrandizement. The monolithic corporate media uses and abuses those gullible enough to "watch"--and we let them.

Let's don't forget our brave men and women overseas, and how some in this country despise anything military. While these vermin have the "rights" to spew their hatred on a nation which allows their freedom of speech, let's not forget who is protecting their "right" to turn around and hate the very ones defending them. Well, I don't like Glenn Beck that much, but do like his famous quip: "It will make blood spurt out your eyes!"

Nope not happy at all.

Stopping the war is up to the Iraqi factions. Doubt it will happen. Pulling out our troops another matter. Seems that would prove disastrous, and make a nice void for the islamic radicals to move on in (more than they have already), with the Iranian Madman in the lead. Even our very own Madman (BHO) will see the stupidity in that if the "lost ones" here vote him into the WH.

Stopping the war is as easy as stopping the flood of money OUT of our country. Billions of dollars wasted overseas that could be put to better use HERE in the U.S....you know....OUR country?

We need to put OUR interests, OUR country, first, instead of some foreign pissants.

That is all hindsight. We are there now, and getting out at a wrong time will NOT be in our best long term interest. I agree we should put US first, but unfortunately have to ease out of this mess with the Middle East intact. Don't know yet how feasible that will be. But we need also to keep what is left of our reputation intact. Am hoping McCain will have the ability to do some kind of miracle in the next few years and get us out of there without a WW3 starting.

The choice is clear, really. Stay in Iraq and be destroyed economically. That is what I call a choice. Staying in Iraq for 100yrs, and soon or later be in 12 or 15 digit dollars in debt. Isn't that nice?
