Since there is no proof that not serving meat on Mondays or even the existence of meat itself poses any harm to the environment, maybe the real purpose of de Blasio's edict is to teach the children the meaning of "fake news"

i realise we are talking about a song he wrote for another artist-- and if she tries to share it with someone else, he will do the same thing. the term is life of the author PLUS 75, and hes not going to let a little thing like death stop him from enforcing that. (i think its actually 95 for a corporation either way, but youre going to have to prove its fair use.)

No that isn't it at all. It is about choice and freedom. It's about Nanny state over reach. If you don't like meat then don't eat it. Not judging you. To each their own. That said don't push your belief systems or dietary demands on me.
I live in a place where fish and rice are the primary staples. Many if not most dishes use cilantro. I hate cilantro. Hate the smell and the taste gags me. Fortunately I can request my food made without it. Choice is a wonderful thing. I know those kids have a choice. They can always pack their own lunch. except that in many schools that isn't allowed.
I wonder if Mr. De Blasio is also skipping meat on Monday?
Yeah that's it for sure. I'm 56 and just had my annual physical. Doc says I have the heart of a 30 year old. BP was a massive 100 over 65. Blood work was excellent. I have eaten meat 2 meals or more a day since I was a toddler.
No the main reason for obesity and heart disease in the USA, is that most Americans are couch potatoes, who live on potato chips, pizza and frozen dinners.
If you have the gov't/taxpayers providing your meals then you do it on their terms and accept what they give you.
Don't like it, brown bag it or have it delivered.
