This dialogue sums up the difference between Trump and Sanders:

Trump has proposed huge cuts in Medicare and Medicaid to the tune of hundreds of billions of dollars to finance the tax cuts for the top 1%. Trump's budget director has no answer as he simply rubber stamps the needs and wants of the super rich who fund him:

I'll go with the same number of elderly that died due to cutting block grants that funded Meals on Wheels.

I'm a MOW volunteer....firstly, these meals or lack of doesn't kill most of our clients.
Secondly, you are right - Trump did cause some harm to funding sources...

However, the program is very diversified and flexible and they seem to be able to find sources of funding and volunteers easily.

Medicare or Medicaid cuts will certainly kill people faster.
However, as we all know, people like Rich Scott and many others have defrauded those programs for 10's of billions over the years. Rick Scott, tho, has no shame....why should he? He was rewarded for it.

Now, if Trump put Rick Scott and 100's of others in jail and made them give up their fortunes do to the ill gotten gains....well, then, the programs would have more than enough funding...even with some cutbacks.

Hundreds of billions of dollars in cuts to Medicare and Medicaid is really callous at a time when people are struggling so much and there is a strong increase in the number of retired folks.

We can only imagine the death tolls as a result of this. I doubt Trump's budget director has a conscience though.
