Ultimately its us (the citizens) that are responsible for this, in that we allow this to go on for so long and we continue to allow it, that makes us just as guilty in my book!

Many people will say the answer is voting bad people out, but we have seen that has not worked, eventually citizens must take action to stop these things, the Constitution gives us this power when it is necessary (even to use force), but its up to us to take that step.

Also, at some point, non-action reaches the level of treason, its no excuse to just sit back because doing something may be too risky or dangerous, or even too inconvenient. "Freedom is not free, it requires the blood of patriots from time to time" The founders realized citizens could face foreign OR DOMESTIC threats to freedom, thankfully they included provisions so the citizens could remove a govt from power if ever needed.
