And the highly bureaucratic bank keeps you on a tight leash with interest rates. Is that freedom?

Communism is in places like Chiapas were banks are owned by the costumers, large businesses/farms are cooperatives, and local economics are not destroyed from corporate wealth.
God damn you are SO full of ****! Shut the **** up and MOVE to "Chiapas" already!!!!!

Maybe the o.p. is on to something?
The powers that be say planet earth is in danger due in part to overpopulation,so what better way to bring about depopulation than communism with its neccesary policies of famine, death camps, ideological/ class purges, etc.
Save the planet! Starve a neighbor.

Debt is slavery, it is how our system works.

The IMF uses debt to force structural reforms (privatization), while locally our banks control the consumer, credit limits which they spend with, and as they need a home/property to exist independent from government support, they end off paying down their debt for the rest of their lives.

But you have to think that is freedom.

They survived authoritarian regimes. Soon the USA may be one if we keep going in the direction we’re going.
