I read that there were no bullet holes and no blood. Did anyone watch the actual shooting and aftermath?

Because that's what the shooter wanted you to do. Apart from the fact that watching people get murdered just adds a whole other indignity to their and their loved one's suffering.

I'm not trying to be rude but I don't know if you're trolling, misinformed, or just can't read. It says right in the portion you quoted that if you have the consent from the creator, you can download the video. Also, you seem confused about terms such as data, content, video, not understanding that in that context they mean the same thing. Anyways you're only fooling yourself. Many people have the video, including me, and are free to share it if we are so inclined. I will not do it on this site as it might be against TOS.

To the poster who said there are no bullet holes or blood, there is no doubt the video is authentic.

No, I mean why are you upset about other people watching it? You're going on for pages about how people are able to access it and copyright laws, it's of the least importance. It's like arguing if the killer did or didn't get insurance on his car rental.

I won't watch it myself. Like someone mentioned, I think it would hurt my soul to watch it.

It's not of the least importance, AFAIC. People here are defending their right to watch it, like it's some form of free press issue, but it isn't, it's a private video that people don't have the right to access once it's been taken down by FB or YouTube, unless they have permission. If you're going to use that argument then you should at the very least know the facts surrounding your rights to it.

The rest of my posts on it are trying to explain to someone who's incredibly rude why what they keep posting (addressed to me) is flat out wrong.

Which we do. So we're good.

Really? Where's YOUR prior written consent from Brenton Tarrant?

He called me and said I could share it.

Think about it smart guy, how did he communicate it in the first place. At least you have stopped claiming that FB owns the rights to the video, and understand based on this post that Brandon Tarrent is the sole owner of it, so there is that. Phew, took time.

Oh ffs.

You understand nothing.

He doesn't get to circumvent YouTube's End User License Agreement just because he streams a video to it, or just because he made the video. He is NOT able to give the users of YouTube permission to download his video. Because he doesn't own YouTube.

He is only giving viewers permission to watch THAT UPLOADED VIDEO while it exists on the platform. No one has rights to view it after it has been taken down UNLESS a COPY OF IT is distributed directly to them by Tarrant by some means, or unless YouTube or Tarrant says IN WRITING that they have permission to access it or share it or broadcast the video that they obtained via downloading it off of YouTube.

And Facebook does own the rights to that video WHILE YOU HOST IT ON THEIR SITE, just not the sole exclusive rights.

You are free to distribute it up your arse if you'd like, simultaneously, but Tarrant would have found that a bit difficult, given he was remanded in custody immediately after the stream concluded.

If you don't want to play by YouTube or FB's rules, then you get your own site with your own OVP and host your own streams. Then you can allow people to do what they want with what you put up there.
