Increased flooding is caused by global warming..... Warmer air holds more moisture, that is causing more rain to fall, which causes increased flooding....It's called science.

Not only that, but disturbed global weather patterns can cause shifts in where rain falls the most, possibly making wet areas even more wet, and drier areas even more dry. Of course there is variation interspersed in there, so you need to look at the longer-term trends.

Global humidity has been going down.....the total opposite of global warming theory

This is the umpteenth thread on this topic. Like the others, this will go nowhere. You will have dozens of people who are unqualified to speak on the subject, who don't know what they're talking about, quoting data they don't understand. Or worse, making blanket statements, like "this is just part of the natural temperature cycles of the earth", with no supporting data or evidence.

If you truly want to know whether climate change is real, don't ask people on CityData. Ask an expert (and I think we know what the answer will be).

So-called "100 year" things are man-made concoctions and don't take into account incidents that occurred prior to the time people started recording incidents.

Which part of "flood plain" do you not understand?

Flood plains are Nature's natural repository of floods. You built houses there than cry because Nature keeps flooding areas Nature is supposed to flood.

Blogs are not credible sources for science.

When you have predicted flooding that is estimated to be 100 years based on models that occur 10 years apart that would seem to indicate that warming is increasing. There are many examples.
Usually the new records are indicated in inches, this time is in feet including the flooding of an air force base. One of the reasons the military also raised the issue of warming was that it is jeopardizing our bases.

If you think about fossil fuels, who uses more: your Subaru or the government, army, navy, marines, and NASA? If we the people all stopped driving today, do you think it would make a dent? I don't.
