If Border Patrol and Homeland Security and law enforcement say it's a national emergency, I'd believe them more than a politician who is being paid off by drug cartels.

DEA admitted 90% of drugs come in thru border checkpoints...but didnt say why they have done nothing to reduce or stop this!
You seem to miss the entire issue.
Congress gave away their power through legislation and if the court is going to uphold the constitution they have to recognize that fact and rule in favor of the President.
Its up to congress to pass new legislation if they want any measure of their power back.
You've outdone yourself, this time. You're claiming that because of a national emergency act, that congress relinquished all its power to the President. Since he is set on stacking the Supreme Court with his puppets, that would end the three-way balance of power on which this country and its constitution is based. It would give Trump dictatorial powers. That last sentence of yours that ends, "if they want any measure of their power back", is one of the worst interpretations of our system of government I've ever read. But it's apparently what you wish would happen, even though it would destroy our free country.
I disagree with Trump and the use of the National Emergency. That said those crying foul now had no issue with Obama using it at the drop of a hat. How many of those National Emergencies that he used were in fact any kind of a US National Emergency? So dire that it couldn't wait for congress to act upon it?
How many US citizens or assets were in danger? Uhhhh pretty sure none.
I am against the wall unless that funding is first used to develop a robust E-Verify system that includes all employers, all landlords, all Banks, all state and federal agencies including public schools.
We need teeth in our immigration laws, make the penalty so harsh that no one is willing to take the chance.
The faux outrage over Trump's misuse of the National Emergency powers is a joke. Obama used it and I can't see a single time where it was actually a National emergency. Trump is a snake oil salesman, but how can anyone condemn his misuse of the power and yet excuse Obama's? Both did it to avoid Congress.

So that there are no misunderstandings: Military housing has been privatized and is in poor condition. The Navy has decided that our naval bases need to be upgraded against rising sea levels. Money to build the fools wall is being diverted away from these important priorities.

You bet that's the case. They just seized over three thousand pounds of cocaine at the port of Newark disguised as dried fruit. Our ports of entry are not being addressed by this obsession with a wall at all.
That is the serious and necessary work congress was elected to do and they refuse to do it.
Trump gave them another chance and recognized their failure as they tried to kick the can down the road again. The open border message congress sent was heard by everyone and is a major pull factor for more illegals to enter at will. That created the emergency to stop the invasion that so far over the years has let millions invade the US with no end in sight. They have overwhelmed and broken the system putting everyone's safety unnecessarily at risk. Trump saw his duty and took action that was made available to him by congress. Congress's action or lack of action encourages all kinds of violence including murder, robbery, rape and unchecked mayhem by drug cartels. There is no down side to a controlled and orderly border. Trump takes emergency action to stop the violence. The people who oppose him do it with bloody hands.
