James 4:11-12
"Do not speak evil against one another, brothers. The one who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks evil against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?"

I have more than a little Irish DNA and I don't see anything overly vile or offensive here...it's a joke. Some people need to get a life.

Maybe people should be more offended by the 'cultural appropriation' perpetuated on a daily basis by O'Rourkes using a Hispanic nickname for decades, probably leading a lot of voters to believe he has some Hispanic ethnicity. It doesn't really matter if he was called 'beto' as a child,he hasn't been a child in decades and most of us aren't still using childhood nicknames in our 20s much less our 40s.If it didn't help him politically I doubt he would either.

I don't personally care about him using 'Beto' but in the hyper-sensitive PC world that many people live in today an ethnically Irish republican using a Hispanic surname WOULD BE attacked for it on a daily basis.

This is something that should be left for when a bunch of dumb guys get together, hanging out, and doing stupid guy things. It doesn't belong in politics. Not at work.

I noticed how 2 of my main politicians, Justin Amash and Rand Paul were quoted.
