One less religious war and this program basically pays for itself and more.

Really don't see it as an either-or choice.

No wars and no programs that bribe twdbs to come here to spawn.

The point is not it's either/or. It's when one party has flushed trillions of dollars down the toilet and think it's perfectly fine, this attack on $12,000 seems like either fake outrage or a brain dead reaction.

Because I 100% do not buy that a $12,000 number is giving them pulse when trillions didn't.

It would easily be up to $100 Billion a year, not counting administrative costs, not $12,000.

Or you could forget about this bloodsucking welfare program and return what I pay in taxes to support deadbeat people/immigrants.

I once took 2 weeks of vaca all at once. It seemed to take forever to get back into the work cycle, catch up on what needed to be done and to figure it all out. I can't imagine 3 months away. If the job has any complexity or is time sensitive, it will fall to coworkers or contract help. 12k doesn't come close to the actual cost.

Women have managed to do that for a good while now. Maybe they could explain it to you how it's done.

Democrats in New Hampshire are using something similar to try to sneak a stealth income tax in to the state(we currently have no income tax). The GOP governor has said he will veto it, but we won't always have a GOP governor to put a break on this sort of thing. They've brought it up before so this won't be a one off. They will eventually win and force this on us.

Guess the Democrats want all taxpayers to pay more tax so new mothers and fathers can have up to $12,000 to stay at home for 3 months.

So far, the goodies are California senator's $500 monthly prize for families with children, Elizabeth Warren and her free childcare proposal and Bernie Sanders proposes free college.

New proposal by the Democrats: Up to $12,000 for 3 months of paid parental leave for new fathers and mothers paid for by a new 0.4% payroll tax split between employee and employer.

They claim it will be less than $2 for the typical worker which means that the 0.4% payroll tax would generate about $4 weekly or $208 a year yet the pay-out would be up to $12,000.

Seems as though there is some strange math going on and that they would likely have to divert funds to the program or they would have to increase the taxes on the program because generating $208 a year in revenue for a program with a payout of $12,000 doesn't seem possible.

The Democrats are coming with up with a new giveaway to manipulate voters into voting for them on top of all the other giveaways.
It's beyond disgusting.
