I am not sure when Snopes has had faulty info, but they are certainly have and will do at times because it is really hard to be 100% unbiased all the time. Heck, it is essentially impossible!

Regardless, even Snopes called BS on the idea that the layoffs were caused by Trump's tariffs.

Yes but the billion dollar in revenue going poor like money in a South Park, CO bank don't help matters. One can argue that perhaps Ford wouldn't restructure as much should the tariffs didn't happen.

I do agree that the problems existed before Trump, but the tariffs aren't doing a favor. Imagine knowing you need to change but being told a past revenue stream is far less profitable. Yea the existing problems got them into the mess, but they are deeper in the hole due to the tariffs.

Ford didn't blame Trump. The author of that hack piece did.

Fodder for the "Orange Man Bad" crowd. Ford has already announced previously that it's going to stop making sedans, with few exceptions.

The Snopes article that was linked earlier included that Ford did indeed face a 1b shortfall. It listed the result as not a mostly true/false or fully truth/lie but a mixture of both. Where it went false was fully blaming Trump for the restructuring. Me I say it doesn't help since it drastically reduced a revenue stream.
