Some people take action. Some people learn from crises. Some people want to protect their citizens. Some people don't let corporate interests dominate every policy.

Not us, though.

If libs got the AR-15 banned in America, would they be content, or would it just be the first leg of their self serving journey?

It was banned in the 90s.

Life went on just fine.

There were also far less mass shootings here using the AR-15 when it was banned than after the ban expired.

They have a gun lobby in the NZ too. Apparently their politicians aren't getting bribed enough.

Meanwhile in the US... AR-15 rifles were used to commit every major mass shooting in the United States since the 2012 attack in an Aurora, Colorado movie theater and we do nothing.

They were already ban, the same as OZ

AR-15 has not been used in every mass shooting since 2012, ridculous.

But hey, as I said in another thread, a foreigner rolls into NZ, kills a bunch of people, yet the government's response is to ban its citizens from owning. Makes sense.

Yes, it's just SO self-serving to want to reduce the slaughter of innocent people, isn't it?

There was no ban in the 90's, despite the name, the assault weapon ban did not restrict the ownership, buying, and selling of semi-auto rifles.

Ok yeah it wasn't a full ban but certain models were banned. It could only have so many features of the military style weapon.

Only the importing and new sales, everything that was in the US was allowed, even with the features, and could be bought and sold.
