Saw that on the news this morning. And the bill still has to be drafted and passed, this is just their direction. Personally, they should ban killing people. Once that ban is in place no one will ever kill another again.
Yes, it's just SO self-serving to want to reduce the slaughter of innocent people, isn't it?
So why go after the AR or semi autos rifles ? Go after firearm that is used in the majority of firearms related murders, the semi auto handgun. See, that would be the logical way to do things, instead they go after the sensationalized firearm and the sheep follow.

Because people are not using their brains. They watch CNN/MSNBC show pictures of a bad guy with an AR-15 in his hands and go "Big gun bad, ban big gun, we no want big gun". And that's that.
This is the level of critical thinking driving ideology on the left at the moment.
Some people take action. Some people learn from crises. Some people want to protect their citizens. Some people don't let corporate interests dominate every policy.
Not us, though.
Maybe they should have made the mosque a "gun free " zone... another measure to ensure this will never happen again.
