New Yorkers should wake up and realize this is what you get when you vote for these "fresh, new progressive "Democratic Socialists" .

It should be a lesson for those in other liberal run areas too. Los Angeles, San Francisco, etc.

These people are anti business.

Almost 40 percent of New York voters believe Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D-N.Y.) bears responsibility as a "villain" in Amazon's decision to back out of its plan to put a second headquarters in Queens, according to a new poll.
The Siena College poll, which was released on Monday, found that 38 percent of New York voters thought of the freshman congressman as a "villain" when they were asked to consider her role in the tech giant's exit.

Siena College found that 67 percent of New York voters viewed Amazon's exit as a detrimental move for the state.

Funny thing about AOC is that her districts like Astoria are overwhelmingly non native suburban moved to NYC college educated white kidults loaded with debt. Those types of folks needed this jobs to improve their livelihood. AOC ruined their chances of having a filling 6 figure job.

Interesting, but only the views of AOC's constituents will matter to her. If she's still popular with them, she will (unfortunately) win reelection.

The fact that only 38% understand as much shows you just how brainwashed they are.

Someone has to stand up to the fact that corporations are pitting states against states and cities against cities to extract benefits and weaker labor regulations at the expense of ordinary Americans. Its a race to the bottom.

A city might "win" a battle against another city, but in the end, all workers lose the war.

Amazon backed out because they wanted to continue their dirty practices unfettered and no one was allowing that here, especially after a possible 3 billion tax incentive, which neither Google nor Facebook needed, nor wanted to set up an HQ here. Giving away money like that sets up a horrible precedent. Thank you, AOC, for standing up for New Yorkers, the ones who know the difference between a good and bad deal anyway.

I also think they may be seeing that the uber growth is finally coming to an end. I do not mean collapse, but I am seeing/hearing more anti Amazon, some of their competitors ARE catching onto this e commerce thing, may be (Dare to dream) some anti trust movement might actually happen somewhere to these mega mega e-corporations.

So that means 62 percent don't see her as the villain.

Looks like she wins that one.

Yep, NY is a real winner here. Lost about 30 Billion and 30,000 well paying jobs. Plus all the side companies and income that would provide support, meals and services.

Way to go NY, keep on winning. Keep on voting for Socialist and Communist to run your Politics. You'll be back to the crime ridden 1970/80's before you know it.

In the mean time, Amazon and other companies will go to States where they are actually welcome.
