Wonder how long it will take the families of former slave owners to want to be paid for their loss.

Haiti had to pay France and the plantation owners when they had a revolution and freed the slaves.

I actually do wonder if the slave owners were reimbursed by the government when slavery ended since as wrong as slavery was, they did purchase these slaves legally, based on their historical time.

Also, in terms of providing a one-way plane ticket back to Africa, they should also be able to liquidate their assets and move these assets to Africa tax-free. This will allow them to live quite comfortably in the homeland that they were forcibly brought here from. Someone living in a Section 8 ghetto in Detroit can go to Africa and live like a king, or at least like an antebellum planter......

Reparations should follow the same order of the slave trade.

Since Africans sold fellow Africans into slavery first, Africa pays reparations first.

Next, European nations including England, Spain, Portugal and tge Netherlands, transported those slaves, so they pay next.

Once those nations pay, we can discuss it further.

It's ironic because Democrats are really saying, "Take this reparation money and be a good slave and vote Democrat"... And nobody calls the Democrats out on it ..

This is true. But the point of my OP was that I don't think America owes the descendants of slaves anything, because if it wasn't for slavery, they wouldn't even be here in the USA enjoying our great American lifestyle. So the only form of reparations to totally undo all this is for us to help them return to Africa.

And yes I don't agree with Western countries apologizing to Africa for slavery. Besides the Muslims are the masters of the slave trade the word slave actually comes from Slav as in Slavic from when the Ottomans enslaved many people when they invaded the Balkans. Arab Muslims also raided East Africa for slaves constantly including the Saudis.

Are you really ignorant enough to think that Chinese history in America is similar to that of black American descendants of slaves?

That many greats might date to the Revolutionary War or earlier.

Why is this trolling?? The truth is that the life of a black person in America is far superior than the life of a black person anywhere in Africa or in any majority black country like Jamaica or Haiti. If a black American takes his wealth to Africa he would be living like a king. So whiles the slaves didn't have a choice in coming here, their descendants HAVE benefited from living in the United States. I wish more of them would take advantage of the opportunities America provides vs be so caught up in their bitterness over things that happened hundreds of years ago.

The Democrats politics of division and racial politics certainly don't help though.

No there is not so much talk. That is something you made up. Not once has anyone I've known brought it up except to mock those who do bring it up.
