This is the way America is going, we are being destroyed from the inside.
I'm willing to bet there are cities across the country that would have material for the same kind of video. What would Appalachia look like given the same treatment? I am fully supportive of turning McNeil Island into a drug treatment facility. Let's see if it works. They said 93% of the people in the Rhode Island facility maintain their medication treatment after getting out. Make no mistake, this solution is absolutely socialistic, the participants require medication for life and I look forward to seeing Republicans support it. Appalachia could definitely use some sort of similar program since they are experiencing the same thing with higher death rates.

Searching on the Rhode Island facility in the video, they've seen 60%+ reduction in death rates since the program started.

Yeah. Didnt think so.
I don't know what the city of Atlanta is doing in terms of the homeless. I live way out in the burbs. I'm only in the city of Atlanta for work. I don't know everything the government is doing. I just know what I see, even in some of the nice areas.

The thing is, I don't think Appalachia will do this. What you describe will be perceived as socialism by many living in Appalachia. Many would prefer that private charities do that kind of work. As it is, the state of West Virginia ran out of money one year from burials that alot of people couldn't afford to bury their dead. And most of those that died were from drug overdoses. Not even the high per capita death rates from drugs seem to get some people to think "maybe we shouldn't use drugs". Given that West Virginia is one of the poorest states in the USA, and money to bury the dead sometimes runs out, I don't know if West Virginia WILL do something that Rhode Island is doing. Ohio next door would be more likely to do it though.

There are places in worse shape than Seattle. Seattle is getting these things latert than other cities.

Anchorage is not a Democratic stronghold. It is a city that has had mostly Republican mayors in its history. It is in a reliably Republican state, Alaska. Plenty of homeless there, and in a place where it's far more dangerous to be homeless.

The drugs, homelessness, and hopelessness, it's been all over America for decades.

To be fair, quite a few of them were. What they did to themselves, however, stole from that attractiveness that they naturally had.

I don't think it really matters. I live in a conservative region. I can find plenty of females who would be considered "not attractive", just as I could find some unattractive liberal females. Beauty and political slant are not mutually exclusive.

I was replying to someone who asked me a question. I don't really care about someone's looks when it comes to politics.

I watched this news special last night. It was your typical conservative, boot licking, cop-loving b.s.

EDIT: Oh, and fear of drugs. The ultimate conservative/GOP boogeyman.

Democrats love redlining everyone else, but now it's not race, it's socioeconomic status. The more crime and drugs and poverty, the easier they can drive the long time residents out, and "gentrify" it for a bunch of trust fund yuppies to move in.
