Every party has tried to stack the supreme court with justices with certain political leanings. Heck, that was one of Trumps campaign cries. Is he "far left".
I realize that disagreeing on a policy doesn't make someone "far left" but that same standard doesn't apply in reverse. Conservatives and even moderates or independents that are geniunely concerned about the negative economic effects and the growing strain on government services to the endless flow of illegal immigrants and drugs flowing across the our southern border and think further enhancing border security with a wall or physical barrier is necessary are shouted down as "racist".

People who tolerate abortion early on in a presidency but happen to draw the line at third trimester abortion are shouted down as "sexist" or accused of hating women.

Or people being called names for wanting $5.7 billion for a border wall to start tackling an imminent border security problem and being told it's too expensive and won't work by the same people calling us science deniers for not supporting $4 trillion dollars in new spending each year on a Green New Deal isn't too expensive and being told we don't care about people dying if we don't get on board.

I could go on and on with other examples but I think you can appreciate my point. Those at least on the progressive left keep moving the goal posts so it's hard to know what the standard is from one moment to the next.

As for both sides packing the courts, let me make it clear I'm talking about increasing the number from 9 to however many it takes for one side or the other to swing the USOC their way. I'm sorry, but that's an incredibly radical and bad idea imho.

Funny, I don't see Republicans thinking like that for the most part, it is the left in their mind that has convinced themselves that Republicans as a whole think that.

But when it comes out to slewing out insults I constantly see those on the left refering to anyone that doesn't agree with them as "toothless hillbilles, uneducated, racist, women haters, rednecks, and so on which shows just exactly how you would treat people not with you if you had the opportunity to crush the voice of areas outside of urban progressive enclaves.

The left judge by color and are racist FAR more than those on the right, your identity politics is to a point now that the democratic party in a poll responded that they would rather have someone other than white as a nominee. It is to a point the democratic party tells its own white members to go to the back of the bus.

progressive left is everything they accuse others of being but they are so self wrapped into themselves they can't see it. LOL you call Republicans facists yet you are the ones wanting to monkey around and make serious changes to election rules and people's representation to suit your agenda.

so come on,

If you think Liberals/Democrats have gone too far to the left...try visiting other countries....basically the whole modern world is communist by your standards. Universal healthcare, gun laws, climate change policies, social programs, etc. We in America have fallen behind on all these things.

Being originally from Canada myself, the Democrats in the U.S are moderate conservatives by our standards. Bernie Sanders policies would feel more at home where I'm originally from. In the U.S though, he's a Socialist-Marxist, lol.

Lowering the age to vote to 16. What is ironic is that the Dems tell us that kids brains do not fully develop to 25-26 so young people should not be treated like adults when tried for crimes, plus they have raised the age to buy cigarettes and alcohol to 21 plus they want to raise the age to buy a gun to 21. Lowering the voting age to 16 would open up a whole new segment of people that have been practically brain washed in schools to view conservatism as a disease.
This.

The left has found it much easier to silence opposing viewpoints with accusations of bigotry than by making an actual rational argument.

Like parent, like child, as they say.

I don't look at individual self-reliance as falling behind. I see other countries falling behind in individual freedoms and liberties, and I see governments pandering to people in an attempt to convince them that they can't live without them. Once you give away a freedom or liberty to a government, you never, ever get it back.
