I'm glad that ISIS last strong hold has been taken, the question is if we completely withdraw from Syria what next, does Iran, Turkey and Russia fill the void. Syria has been a long drawn out war but that is not foreign policy, I don't see any master plan.
From what reports are from Syria --- there are extensive tunnels through Syria and they don't know if ISIS has left those or are 'hiding out'. It may take some time to know for sure.

Trump always moving America forward despite all the resistance of the unhinged.
Reports today from Fox News is the local reports say guns are silent. No bombs dropping.
Its about time to recognize Israel's sovereignty over the Golan Heights after more than 50 years of possessing it. We can only imagen what failure the democrats would have been on both these issues.
“After 52 years it is time for the United States to fully recognize Israel’s Sovereignty over the Golan Heights, which is of critical strategic and security importance to the State of Israel and Regional Stability!” Trump tweeted.
We know for a fact that despite Trump's many claims to the contrary, North Korea is still a nuclear threat! So WHAT reason is there to accept anything he says regarding foreign policy at face value?
Thank you President Trump for making the decision to destroy ISIS...
So little they know. ISIS has been losing terrain gradually since long before Trump took over.
In a rare decision that for once matched US and allies' strengths against the enemy's weaknesses (not vice versa), the Obama administration (sorry, but this is factual, no matter how much you hate him) initiated airstrikes against ISIS assets that weren't easily replaced - tanks, artillery, even trucks - in August 2014. That leveled the playing field, and local forces gradually started driving ISIS back.
Trump, to his credit, didn't change a winning formula.
Been a long time coming, and like all Mid-East victories, the hard bit is going to be forging a political result that will be acceptable for the locals, preferably long-time. But still good news.

I think Trump may have loosened the rules of engagement a bit more, but your post is entirely correct. The major downward trajectory ISIS has suffered over the last few years started after Obama initiated coalition airstrikes and coordination with Iraqi and Kurdish ground forces.
BAGHOUZ, Syria -- The caliphate has crumbled, and the final offensive is over. While the official announcement hasn’t yet been made – Fox News has been told that this village, the last ISIS stronghold, is liberated.
It’s the first time since we’ve been here in Syria for five days that the bombs have stopped dropping and the gunfire has disappeared. We have witnessed the end of the caliphate – the brutal empire that once ruled over 8 million people – is gone....
Awesome news and awesome thread.
Praise President Donald J Trump!

Thanks to the Russian Air Force and soldiers. US wasn't doing anything, they even let ISIS pump oil and sell it on toward the global market.

Agreed. The ME is a very difficult monster to manage, and there's really no clear end-game that's a "victory" for us.
