Some whacko cop making curriculum needs about a 1 week timeout. Including timeout of pay. What an idiot.

Cops reportedly shot teachers with pellet guns ‘execution style’ during drill

what’s the point of shooting them execution style?
It's as far as they can go and not go to prison.

This is not teacher training. Teacher training used to be about how to teach and how to get the kids to behave in class. Not about bullets. It never was a good job--always low paying and no room for advancement, but now they're supposed to worry about getting shot. So don't let anyone you love become a teacher. ever.
I think this is the first time EVER I have disagreed or questioned one of your posts, but how will kids be educated if there are no teachers?

I think that the ENTIRE public education system needs to be overhauled -- higher education standards, no more free passes (to the next grade), a return to discipline for teachers and students, and higher pay for teachers. And that's just a start.

Really pointless training to shoot someone with an airlift. Also wimpy whining by teachers who no doubt are creative in their punishment of students. One has to wonder, was one of the criers the football coach?

School shootings are pretty rare in the US. I think that warning people from the profession over this would be like never ever riding in a car out of fear of a car crash death.

Yeah. I think that the point could be made that they made a "bad choice" without actually shooting them with essentially airsoft guns. Those sting so clearly this is a bad idea but hopefully doesn't get too blown out of proportion.

Been nice if the teachers turned and shot the cops with pellet guns, showing they know how to fight back.

What a dumb idea to line up the teachers and actually shoot them.

I think everyone understands that if you do nothing but cower in a corner during an active shooter threat that you will be shot. Did they also receive training in how to barricade a room and how best to fight back in case a shooter scenario does happen ?

I'm surprised that no one has held this up as an example of what is coming if Trump gets his way and turns America into Germany circa 1937...

It was a good thing that none of the teachers that were shot were black especially if the cop was white. We would never hear the end of that...
