Thus my very first post.

Doesn't matter who it is. Nobody would make a good dictator.

That is why we have the 1st and especially the 2nd amendments.

My question for you OP would be which one of the current contenders for the democratic nomination would make the best General Secretary?

We see here the basics.....about 20-25% of Americans still liked GWB after he completely sunk the ship....so it is not a surprise at all that about 1/2 of Trump's base are deplorable.

The other 1/2 are mixed. I hear people express "I don't like him, and yet he lies and lies, but I like one or two things he says so I am behind him".

Of course, that makes zero sense when his main goals have went to chit (ACA, Mexico pay for Wall, Balance Budget and most everything else)....but it's very difficult for a human being to admit they were wrong.

It took many years with GWB for him to sink to the 28% or so that he had when he left.....and even tho Trump has had the lowest approval rating in history (constantly since his swearing in), he has much further down to go.

Still, that solid 25% of people who would accept an extra-judicial dictator will always be with us.

That's ridiculous. Trump is on track to exceed Obama easily. Obama averaged 34 EO's per year. Trump is averaging 46 per year. Google is your friend!

No. Trump is about all Americans being successful and partaking of the wealth of the nation through opportunities provided through capitalism.

The leftist elitists such as Nancy, Hellary, Barry, Joe are the dictator types who want to keep American citizens on government assistance and feeling victimized as a way to keep them as slaves to ensure they are controlled and vote for these dictators.

Terrifying. Trump is slowly moving his flock so far to the right that he has American citizens saying crazy stuff like this in public, into a microphone.

Flip the situation and let an Obama supporter have said this about him, the Trump posters here on C-D would be attacking the left and name-calling.

OK I am going to call BS. GWB like Obama, like Trump and like all that came before are not dictators who have single point of accountability. Who sank the ship? Both parties and it actually started under Clinton when the banks were deregulated and in fact banks were expected to give loans to minorities in spite of bad credit history and obvious lack of ability to repay the loan. You Gibe Barney Frank and Chris Dodd free passes and they deserve none.

Both parties are addicted to pork. You can blame the GOP's love for Military gadgets but what admin Spent double for the Ford Class carrier? What admin invest well over a trillion dollars on the F-35 Turkey? What Admin spent 40 million on a gas station in Afghanistan? The waste under Obama is legend. By the way it was both parties that forced the Army to buy 100 tanks that they didn't need or want at a mere 6.2 million each.

Both Parties have been systematically gutting this nation for decades. Be honest and admit it.

No. Mr Trump is about his ego and figuring out how to turn the Oval Office into a cash cow for himself. Obama and Clinton were too. GWB by the end of his run was wishing he was just the janitor.
