Homeland security falls under the Executive branch of the Federal government.

Border security is an inherent function of the Executive branch.

Congress has no say on whether or not the Wall should be built on the Mexican Border.

President Trump has the unilateral authority to stop drug traffickers, criminals and other degenerates from coming across the Border from Mexico. He was elected to do so in November 2016.

Of course they have a say. The Constitution mandates they control the purse.

"In the federal government of the United States, the power of the purse is vested in the Congress as laid down in the Constitution of the United States, Article I, Section 9, Clause 7 (the Appropriations Clause) and Article I, Section 8, Clause 1 (the Taxing and Spending Clause)."

Why should any Trump supporter want to follow the Constitution? Trump does not want to follow it.

Yes they do. Equal branches, and the House holds the money. Stop this nonsense, please. Trump is not emperor, he is the head of one of the 3 EQUAL branches of the US government. It was set up that way to prevent what apparently some on the far right want to see happen, a dictatorship. You'd think, after over 2 years in Washington, Trump would get a clue about that small fact.

Why do you think Trump declared a "National Emergency" when there was none, because he wanted to do an end run around the Legislative Branch. And it's not just democrats that are against that move.

We don't need a damned overpriced stupid wall. We need E Verify in all 50 states and stiff penalties for businesses who hire illegal immigrants.

This kind of mindset makes me fear for my country.

Trump can reprogram billions within the executive branch. Section 8005 of the most recent Defense Appropriations bill allows up to $4 billion to be moved around in the defense operating budget. With the approval of OMB, the Defense secretary can do it but has to notify Congress promptly. Under the reporting requirements, “Congress can’t say no, but if it tells the agency it doesn’t like what it’s doing, Congress can reflect those concerns in future appropriations.”

the wall is a done deal, President Trump doesn't need the Congress ...lol

Trump had all this figured out years ago...

did Obama follow the US Constitution when he created DACA in 2012 after Senate voted down Dream Act in 2011?

Not to mention DACA contradicted US immigration law created by Congress.
