As a man of business, I have never seen such an awesome economy. It is stunning in its breadth. Trump's admin has rolled back regulations on business. One of my businesses is a small business consulting practice. Under Obama you would have had to be a damn fool to enter into a concept that required captive employees. Under Trump it is becoming viable again. I know retail franchisees that stopped expansion under "you didn't build that, Obama". Under Trump they are dusting off those old plans and opening up new shops.

Back last recession I bought up a bunch of heavy equipment on the cheap on pure spec and paid someone to preserve the hydrolics etc and put them in storage; I sold the last of it last fall. It is amazing out there.

Greatest President of my lifetime, Trump has eclipsed even my beloved Ronald Reagan. It is still early, but he may be remembered as one of the greatest Presidents in this nation's history if he gets the wall built and flips immigration to be merit based. . Funny thing too, I really knew nothing of him until he ran for office. I may have heard the name in passing but I had no idea who he was. He is far too liberal for my taste, but he has changed my opinion on moderates. If he wins re-election I hope he will take the kid gloves off and prove me wrong and go full bore conservative.

God bless this nation and Donald Trump.
I can’t tell you how scary and bizarre this post is.

Trumpists are enjoying Socialism: Tariffs, Bail-Outs, Subsidies, and Government Grants.

Big difference between funding business and creating jobs from just giving money to useless people that aspire to nothing more than sitting in mama's basement playing video games.

Using taxes to improve the economy and create opportunity is a far better use for taxes than just throwing them away on a failed social experiment.

And then poop hit the fan, and it looked like Obama would be the winner, all of a sudden the economy was doing terrible and it was all Obama's fault. Just a complete 360. Then Trump win's...all of a sudden the economy is great, everything is fantastic. Many Republican voters fall for this big media hoax. It's all psychological, depending on which party is in control.
Yes, this is how the rich stock-and-portfolio owning Republicans in my family are. Some of their Republican friends also got to keep their beachfront property (that since the Bush recession they were apparently about to lose) by claiming damages from a Hurricane (I visited their home before they won their case, there were no damages).

The other Republicans that I know (some neighbors of mine) are still scared of the growing popularity of African American music, still on food stamps, disability, unemployed, and their daughter with 4 brothers in on her 5th baby by a guy who claims to be Christian but they say beats her, etc.

Just anecdotal, but I doubt much has changed for the poor. The rich wait for them to get on drugs and then wait for them to die off and blame the drugs.

Tax cuts have been great, 401k superb under Trump, but far more vital than personal gains is the knowledge we now have SC associates Gorsuch and Kavanaugh for the next 25 years, and ICE is again free to do its job. Its wonderful to see the US once again critically analyze trade deals as opposed to reflexively nod and smile at any trade deal, no matter how awful it may be for our nation. Finally, its nice to see LEOs appreciated again, and respected for the wonderful service they provide each day.

How is it scary and bizarre? At worst Trump is the best president since Eisenhower.

He's miles better than Reagan
