Just out of curiosity, lets say for a minute, that what you say is true. Do you find that more, less, or equally unacceptable as the guy who had a drink thrown in his face for wearing a MAGA hat?

I don't know whether the intent of the OP was well-meaning misunderstanding or deliberate and malicious mis-interpretation of the incident, but the clip I posted illustrates how these things get started and can spiral out of control.
You can usually tell which it is, misunderstanding or deliberate misinterpretation, by the willingness or unwillingness of the person to have their mis-perception corrected. The unwilling tend to be the evil ones. The willing usually feel bad and apologize, or at least are able to consider that maybe they made a mistake.
