Now that you claim Obama wanted ACA to fail, I know you are trying to sell a personal opinion as fact in both examples. Not very honest if you asked me.....

I said that right from the start.....that it was out of Alinsky's M.O! Obama knew that Obamacare would fail - there was talk of the death spiral before it even passed - and he pushed it through anyway. Nothing dishonest about my pointing that out.

That poster wasn't criticizing you, he was (correctly IMO) mocking Obama's rhetoric re the ACA.

It is dishonest to present personal opinions and/or conspiracy theories as fact.

Will the government give me the money back I had to spend on health insurance? Will the government provide me health coverage at least equal to what I have had?

So far all I am hearing is rhetoric with zero plan for the future and at what cost.

The system they had before aca was failing too... It wasn't like doing nothing was an alternative solution

Perhaps you need to study up on insurance. Should the car insurance companies give me back the last 45 years of premiums I paid in (no accidents)????

A reasonable system would give you (plural) better care than you have now. Our failure is evident based on our life spans and outcomes. Heck, Cubans now live longer than Americans....and did when they spent $250 a head on health care.

As with most things, Capitalism will allow you to waste excess money if you truly want to. That is, a country like ours can easily afford good health care for all, but if you want a nurse to come to your house to give you the flu shot, I'm sure it can be arranged for a fee if you enjoy spending more.

My take is that a full single payer (or whatever) system would cover all with a setup that would have better outcomes (based on ALL of us), longer life spans, less infant mortality, etc.

However, if you desire to waste 100's of thousands for a private hospital with a food court in the lobby, that will exist also.

Personally, I'd prefer to have doctors working on me without the profit motive....but the system would surely allow for you to waste money if you want to. What it should not allow for is for us to indebt our kids and grandkids for generations to pay OUR bills.

Even you must be able to see that is morally wrong...

This is really really dumb--just so Trump can have his tantrum.

Go ahead and get rid of it. Think it is all evil? Think again and be prepared for disaster if Trump gets his way. All he did was give a gift to the Dems in 2020. This is not what the GOP had in mind--they appeared quite startled by this new tantrum. It will affect everyone.

You can call it fake news, but if you do, please point out where it is wrong and why.

"...If the Trump administration prevails, the health care of nearly every American could be affected, though most don't realize it. While most people associate Obamacare with the individual health insurance exchanges and Medicaid expansion, it has far wider impact....

...Obamacare has meant lower premiums, deductibles and out-of-pocket costs for the roughly 60 million senior citizens and disabled Americans enrolled in Medicare. And it helped close the gap in Medicare's drug coverage....

...Children are allowed to remain on their parents' plans until they turn 26. Also, companies with at least 50 employees must provide affordable insurance to their staffers who work more than 30 hours a week. The law also prohibits employers from imposing annual or lifetime limits on benefits and caps out-of-pocket spending so those with expensive conditions don't exhaust their coverage...

...If the law is struck down, roughly 20 million more people would be left uninsured, an increase of 65%, according to an Urban Institute report published Tuesday. And hospitals would see uncompensated care jump by $50 billion, or 82%..."

The Republicans health care plan has not changed much since Alan Grayson correctly described it to the House.
