I'm all for the repeal part...the replace part, not so much! I don't want the government deciding what health care I buy or use.

Well. It's not just those. It's all social programs. We live in a democratic socialist state. Cops, fireman, teachers, public transportation are all social programs and institutions . The GOP wants to privatize it all. I get it. They want to make money. I say go for it. Show the world what you stand for and let them decide if they want to keep you in power.

Problem is - once they privatize it the corporate masters tell their employees who to vote for and who to donate to....

You sure about that.

You might want to do a bit of reading online.

Seems some Republicans in Washington DC were taken by surprised...not sure it is a good idea as there is NO plan yet.

Facts matter....

What can be better than compelling healthy people to subsidize unhealthy people?
If I was sickly, I'd vote for it.
Except that is not what government was designed for.
If you will recall, in the Declaration of Independence, men have rights that governments were instituted to secure - such as life, liberty, etc, also known as freedom... not compelled labor for the benefit of another.

Coincidentally, before socialism, medical costs were a tiny fraction of today's hyper inflated price tag. Partly because religious renunciants were caring for the sick at minimal cost. Thanks to glorious socialism's disdain for religions and the change in the tax law that forced hospitals to pay salaries (and taxes), all that inexpensive health care was scuttled.
THANK YOU BIG BROTHER.

Frankly, I think government should get entirely OUT of healthcare - no more licenses, no controlled substances, no prohibitions on free people.

Any one should be able to treat another to the best of their ability without fear of prosecution.

Can’t pay for your health care? Then shut up and die.

The GOP plan is to rip health insurance away from millions with preexisting conditions and poor people now on Medicaid. If their bootstraps can’t hold them up, then it’s not seen as a problem.

But yeah go ahead and campaign in 2020 on that plan GOP, see how far that gets you.
I think he felt he could talk out of his A and could be lazy and not have to bother coming up with plan that would back up that talk because he thought there was no chance he would win.

He never should have run unless he had a plan to propose.

I've been pointing out for over 2 years the three reasons I think that he ran that rise above the others, and one of those is the one Enigma mentioned in this thread....to get back at Obama for making fun of him at the 2011 WH Correspondents Dinner. The other two reasons that ride above the others....to 'build his brand', so to speak, and to be able to whine that 'the system is rigged' until taking his last breath.

People who disagree with you think you are wrong and want other people's hands out of their pockets as much as possible, but they don't feel the need to personally denigrate those they disagree with as you have above. That you feel the need to do that when your opponents don't says volumes in a negative sense about you rather than them.
