More proof the GOP is now the party of Trump and his dreams of dictatorship.

Not overriding the veto result was known before the vote. Good grief people.

The lawyers will be the only winners in this one. It goes to the SCOTUS. Just wonder how many of them are in favor of the Executive stealing power from the Legislature.

All while the GOP goes along with the most corrupt Administration ever.

It will be interesting to see how many Courts will say that the President of the United States does NOT have the power to declare a National Emergency.

Today's vote is a Kabuki Theater Vote .... and probably a mistake on their part. Anti-National Security and Pro-Illegal Aliens invading from the South is not a very good Democrat Party Plank.

Pelosi and Schumer won't take it to any Court.
They will leave that to some sort of Leftist pro Illegal Alien group.

Interesting idea !!!
The SCOTUS gets to legislate from the bench when the congress fails to legislate.

They are against the superficial way Trump is going about it, not the idea of national security and illegal immigration. I'm tired of explaining the flaws of the Republicans who lie, lie, lie about this "National Emergency".

What I do see is that this will go to the courts and it will show us who really reads the constitution like they claim to. Kavanaugh, I'm looking at you. You claim to be a strict constructionist, tell me where in the constitution it allows a President to go around Congress, especially on the budget...

That's not what this is about and you know it.

It's about Trump attempting to steal the power of the purse away from its Constitutionally proper location, in the legislature.

Previous emergency declarations by past presidents did not involve an attempt to shift billions of dollars to an expenditure not appropriated by Congress.

If you believe Congress failed to legislate on this one, I point my finger at Rep. Ryan and Sen. McConnell. They fumbled this one standing lock step with the President.
