Sean Hannity has OP all riled up tonight. Sean Hannity is on the payroll of the White House. The same conspiracy theorist that said Obama and others wiretapped the WH.

I just thank God she is not a conservative, or I would have to become a liberal just so I’m not on the same side as her.

I think we all know about people like Maddow and Hannity and Carlson. It's like tea. Some people like sweat tea. Others like it unsweetened. I liked mine iced while others like their tea warm. I watch Maddow from time to time although I prefer Chris Hayes and even Lawrence O'Donnell. I am under no delusion than any of them are unbiased. They are talk show hosts and commentators, like Hannity. And like Hannity, they get to have biases. I thought people understood that

Stop watching cable news (in my opinion, not an order).

Everyone has an opinion, even independent news sources like democracy now!

but corporate news is meant to play partisan politics to keep people from critiquing power (its all the republicans fault everything is bad, etc.).

Just turn it off.

I haven't watched any in a few weeks or listened to any talk radio either. I got tired of the local radio hosts and it slowly grated on my nerves that the cable news never seemed to have much news on. I'm tired of being told what to think. It doesn't matter to me whether I agree with it or not. Not listening to talk radio or watching prime time cable has allowed me to listen to more music and also discover some shots on Netflix.

The rest of the country doesn't despise the media because Individual 1 said so. He dislikes anyone that doesn't side with him. It shows based on all the empty cabinet seats in the WH. He has no credibility. His attacks on the so-called "failing NYT and WaPO" are doing very well despite his negative attacks. Most Americans don't take him seriously at all.

Same, I've dropped TV entirely and only watch some Netflix on my laptop from time to time. It has made my life much better and more fulfilling.

And ironically I am more informed on news. Cable news exists to misinform, not educate.
