If we are talking about the Special Olympics in terms of the sports competition for those that are SJW liberal- and conservative-minded people, this is a good thing. We have enough snowflakes in this country.

Exactly. Beyond the reporter, he appeals to cheap stereotypes believed too easily by self-styled "common sense oriented" people, grabs meows, makes derogatory remarks about people's appearances, glorifies violence (his shoot someone on Fifth Ave. remark - a blatant appeal to the baboon-mentality of his testosterone OD'ing glorifiers). In short, he's normalizing incivility and degrading of those who oppose his policies. This cannot help but break the bonds of trust needed to make a civilization worthy of the name work. That's how Yugoslavia broke apart so violently - and before the war, people were saying "Nobody cares if you're a Serb, Croat, Bosnian Muslim, etc.". Yet we all know what happened anyway.
Trump's the closest thing to Slobodan Milosovic that we've ever had.

I'll bet funding mainline sports programs takes away more dollars from you than Special Olympics does.
Special Olympics funding is spread out among the whole country. Local HS sports teams (especially) are locally funded only. Therefore, per capita, mainstream sports programs are much more costly than Special Olympics.

You do realize that the majority of the Special Olympics gets their funding from charity and donations? How about our tax dollars go to things we need, not for programs that can be propped up by donations?
Heck, I have an even better idea. Why not slash all of congress salaries by half, and have them on the same kind of health care the privates get in the VA?
And the Birther Derangement Syndrome (and ODS in general) types are out there winning Pulitzers and Nobels? Who?
hahahahahahahahahahahahaha
