Looks like the ban will stay in place.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday rejected a request by gun rights activists to put on hold the Trump administration’s ban on “bump stock” attachments that allow semi-automatic weapons to be fired rapidly, a rare recent instance of gun control at the federal level.

I think the ban is a good thing. We don't need that stuff.

Trump's approval is at 50% today at Rasmussen, so he's not taking much of a hit for it and I don't think he will.
All polls count. But some of them count 'adults' and make no attempt to contact 'voters'. 'Voters' get to elect leaders, not 'adults'.

Among his base? No, he won't take a hit among his base no matter what he did.

This is about the Supreme Court, not Trump. If they approve this ban, then the obvious question is how far are they willing to go with firearm related bans.

And........just like the 1994 "assault weapons" ban, it won't actually ban anything. Are they going door knocking? No. They'll still sell the stock as a bunch of parts as a work around. Will anyone get arrested for having one? No.

I bought "assault weapons" all through the previous ban, hell there is one in CA right now and look at the front page ad for Turners!

Another useless law

Why. It won't ban anything so why would anyone be p*ssed. Maybe for some who are afraid to take them to a range now. They'll still be on BLM land no problem. We never turned in or quit buying assault weapons during the last federal ban.

He has me blocked, but to everyone else...this is the very definition of a MAGA. The exact same rhetoric as people like AOC but packaged differently.

The MAGA/NRA Fudds are OK with it. Actual property rights advocates are up in arms about it.

I wonder if Trump could get actual guns banned and retain his base? He should give it a whirl. I think it's possible that he could convince some of them to go along with him.
