After having watched Porgy and Bess last night on PBS, I'd have to agree with Sportin' Life, "The things that you're liable to read in the Bible, it ain't necessarily so."

Great! Does anyone have to wonder why the human civilization is self imploding these days?
Menarche seems an odd thing on which to focus. Since single fathers of daughters have dealt with it successfully, I cannot imagine why gay fathers would not be able to do so too.

That is so beautiful! Every child should come into the world surrounded by such love.

I'd absolutely be willing to carry a child for one of my kids, and I'm over 50.

And wouldn't the stress of labor put a woman - which nature has decided is to old to withstand birth - at tremendous risk?
All good questions. But she looks like a pretty healthy 61-year-old woman, and everything turned out fine. So, the answer to your first 2 questions is "yes." The answer to the third is likely "it depends on the woman."

Precisely. That's a lucky little girl.

I hope everyone is healthy and doing well(didn’t read the story linked)z

But I suppose the baby would have had to pay the price if he had been born with Downs Syndrome in the interest of the gay couple who cares more about their own wants and needs than the health of a baby.
