As others have said and I believe I was an early vote in your poll OP that illegal immigration is a number one concern because it does affect so many other issues facing our future. Healthcare of course is a biggie and everything else that contributes to rising taxes from welfare to education and not to mention the additional costs to our criminal justice system.
We are talking Billions to add walls, barricades and security systems and even more to increase the border agents and to build more courts with immigration judges and attorneys.
They predict that 1 Million people could come into America by the end of the year and then what happens next year and the year after that?
AND this is all with a President that is against Illegal Immigration. What happens when a Dem takes the office and it is one of the Nuts that would disband ICE and take down the existing walls?
America has a breaking point and we are fast approaching it.
Illegal immigration, the trendy topic because trump says so. So predictable how easily swayed some people have become in the last 2 years.
I agree w/ this. It became real trendy w/ Trump. It's a catchy and fast slogan, "Build the Wall." It brought the crowds in and is keeping some of them on his side. It's a good smokescreen, too, for all of our problems that aren't going anywhere fast. Oh, well, Trump gave the rich tax cuts. I'll give that one to him.

You lefty liberals crack me up. Now law abiding Americans oppose illegal immigration and want something done about it because it's "trendy"? If you can't see why we need good physical barriers in place on our border where it is feasible then you and yours are beyond clueless. I have posted several links proving that the good walls do work including those from the Border Patrol and Homeland Security but you and yours know better, right?
So many viable sources have reiterated that we do have a crisis on our southern border including the fact that thousands have been marching up to our border in caravans seeking entry into our country. This has never happened before and the month of March had the highest number of illegal entrants since 10 years ago! We are on track to have a million jumping or attempting to jump our border this year. And no they aren't all looking for jobs and many who are work for cash when they get in here.
As for asylum seekers statistically 80-90% of them have been bogus claims. Poverty and wanting a better life is not a viable reason to claim asylum not even violence is either. Only religious, political, etc. persecution is. Since they refused asylum and jobs in Mexico that's all the more reason to secure our border as they are adamant about making into our country instead. These aren't mostly single men seeking to get in but large families with children who would end up being a burden to our society.
