Religion has always been political/ that’s not the same as being moral or having values that reflect love, unity and peace among people. The so called pharasee syndrome is in full force in many churches now. I agree the youth / no longer naive - will sort this out in their time.

It's sad we can't divide so we could each have things our way and not have to fight about it anymore.
There's never going to be a solution that works for everyone. Some people would have to decide to move or to stay and just deal with it. Not much different than the current situation really. But you would at least theoretically have an option.

Evangelical Christians. The Christian Right has destroyed our politics.

Seriously things would be so much better now if we weren’t still fighting about abortion and gay marriage.

It's a system void of any morality or logic in which the foundation of the paradigm is based on

A. The Social Contract and

B. Preordained violence (an extension of A)

And you want it less toxic?

You'd have better luck figuring out a way to go swimming without getting wet.

So it's Al Gore's fault.

Team Red wins.

We need religion to make a comeback so that people put their negative energies there. Jehovah, Allah, Buddha, Gaia, Sinatra... I don't care who you worship.

I just want the zealots out of public affairs.
We can start with teaching and enforcing rights of the individual. People need to wake up and get educated on what a right is.

Can't happen quick enough, IMO.

Global warming is a scientific fact, not a religion.

I don’t think a large increase in religious fervor will lead to less religion in politics.
