When I first published this subjective Media Chart, I posted it along with other charts for your consideration.
I explained how I came to assign positions on the chart.
And I explained that the positioning is relative and not intended as an absolute indicator of position.
The idea was for you to add it to your knowledge base; compare it to other charts; or, certainly, disregard it, if you like.
As usual, this is conflating news & opinion. NPR, for example--they are not a hard-left news outlet. You MAY hear a lot of left-leaning editorializing on your local NPR affiliate, but that is not news.
I find it troubling that we are comfortable equating opinion and news. Opinion will ALWAYS be biased. News should be news--factual. Now, facts may make one uncomfortable, but that doesn't make them unfactual.
