Elizabeth Warren's plan won't ever happen. But if there is unionization in the industry that means there is a possibility of increased wages and benefits which in a labor intensive industry like that rates will skyrocket.

The California minimum wage still has $6,000 to increase for a full-time worker and daycare workers make a bit more than that so day care costs are set to skyrocket by 2022

Seems like Elizabeth Warren wants free daycare for most children paid for by taxpayers whether they have kids or not and Kamala Harris wants to unionize it saying

"“unions built the middle class of this country”.

The cost of childcare is set to skyrocket in California as they go from a $12 minimum to $15 in 2022. Yet, I guess that won't be enough and Kamala Harris spoke about unionizing the industry.

That will cause wages to skyrocket even more, which means parents with kids who are in a position that they have send their kids to childcare have not seen anything yet on child care costs.

Daycare's will likely also be pricing in the scarcity into the rates also.
