Ok, this looked promising. And finally coming from the right source this time.

I've always felt that newer treatment options would become available as more research was done.

Also, the study references 30 drugs that were found to inhibit viral replication, however they only felt 6 had real potential for treatment.

The 6 drugs are:

Quote:
the PIKfyve kinase inhibitor Apilimod, cysteine protease inhibitors MDL-28170, Z LVG CHN2, VBY-825, and ONO 5334, and the CCR1 antagonist MLN-3897

I bought stock in Gilead. If I was in serious danger I’d want their drug and/or convalescent plasma.

I kind of hope Trump comes out tomorrow and says these drugs are promising so that we'll get to see people start calling them poison.

Nah. I'll let Trump say the first dumb thing that pops into his head so I can ignore him. PhDs really aren't genetic, you know. Just because Trump's uncle had one doesn't mean that Trump is even in the ballpark.

PhDs aren't always correct, but they're more likely to be correct about disease and medicine than a real estate developer. So that's the way I bet.

Nah, it's more fun to watch people twist themselves up automatically being opposed to anything he says. I mean, we saw what happened the last time he endorsed something doctors were pushing as promising. I want to see it happen again...because I know people are dumb enough to react exactly the same way.

Yes, some doctors did think chloroquine was promising. But Trump didn't call it promising. As you yourself said, he endorsed it as a cure.

He's always over the top with his rhetoric, so as a result, you had some dumb people thinking it was a cure, and some dumb people that instantly started calling it poison.

I enjoy laughing at those kinds of dumb people. Both groups.

I laugh at a president who often really doesn't know what he's talking about, and the people who never seem to notice it.
