Secret Service agents didn't like Alles so are happy to see him go. Another Swamp creature bites the dust.

Agents were unimpressed with Alles and largely ignored him. Alles not only retained the same senior management that produced so many scandals, he did nothing to change the agency's culture that has led to those scandals and the low morale that has resulted in a shockingly high turnover rate.

The Secret Service director reports directly to the Secretary of Homeland Security, Kirstjen Nielsen, who resigned on Sunday amid growing pressure from the President. The director oversees the Secret Service’s work on both protection and investigations.

“There is a near-systematic purge happening at the nation’s second-largest national security agency,” one senior administration official says.

United States Citizenship and Immigration Services director Francis Cissna and Office of the General Counsel’s John Mitnick are expected to be gone soon, and the White House is eyeing others to be removed."

After the Chinese spy got into Mar-A-Lago, this was to be expected.

I think when history is written, many Americans will be shocked, I tell you, SHOCKED to find out how many folks in government have "collaborated" with China.

This purge is necessary. Go, Trump. Too bad it couldn't have happened sooner.
Trump should disband Homeland Security.

I agree. We'd be better off without the latecomer bureaucracy Homeland Security (as well as the Department of Education).
That wouldn't solve the problem though of what agency would perform the functions of the long-standing Secret Service. Just imo, the Marines should take it over.
But Trump just fired the Marine he put in charge of the SS. One step forward, two steps back.

Did the Secret Service Catch a Chinese Spy in Mar-A-Lago
It would be literally impossible for SS to vet and check EVERY SINGLE person that comes to one of these events, its just not practical, they probably just do the best they can with the time and resources they have to work with, cannot ever secure an event 100%.

Honestly you have to watch the Secret Service. They were running amok under Obama and as far back as JFK had questionable loyalties. Not to mention some of the creepy videos of them around Obama and during Trump's inauguration parade.

Trump should resign. He is in way over his head. His answer to everything is firing people. The buck stops at his desk. He has had qualified people; because they do not want to commit crimes against humanity, he balks.

Trump can't resign. The only protection he and his kids have is his presidency.

Trump's administration is a shambles. It's operating with a patchwork cabinet, people coming and going on six inch centers, and many of the top level staff, including his own Chief of Staff, operating in an "acting" capacity.

He pulled his nominee to head up ICE, fired the Secret Service Director, and the head of DHS just resigned.

Trump's got a tiger by the tail, and he's hanging on for dear life.

Who is "we". I take it you don't travel by air or live in a large city or you are immune to terror. Do you realize how many terrorists Homeland has stopped. I don't you hear you complain about Trumps misuse of his vacation home in Fl or NY wasting millions of dollars but now we need to get rid of Homeland because they cant protect his southern White House.
