Apparently you don’t know Mexico has WalMart. See how smart I am.

Ok....

Tell ya what.

I'm gonna come break down your door and claim squatters rights in your living room.

Not only will you not be able to do anything about it, you'll have to pay me to live there.

The money (of yours) that I spend should stimulate the economy twice as much as if you were spending it all yourself.....yes?

Oh and don't forget that my being there will raise your rent/mortgage as well as your utilitiy bills.

But it's all good right?

After all, immigration is immigration.

And if you paint that gutter that's been peeling and fix that railing that's been loose, you can justify your presence there by claiming that you are doing the work the homeowner wouldn't do and that you are a net positive. Never mind what the homeowner thinks about it. His opinion doesn't count.

On and on and on, throw in a few loans, and that's how our economy sustains itself and grows.

Now, remove 11M consumers from the economy, each of whom is responsible for helping to circulate $100s - $1,000s/month. What exactly are Conservatives expecting to happen?

The answer is a crash unlike anything we've ever seen, no hyperbole. You would see the immediate collapse of casual dining, agriculture, and housing industries to START with. Then the next big domino to fall would be all the local establishments that these immigrants support with their earnings -- Walmarts/CVS/Walgreens, supermarkets, real estate rentals, etc.

Then comes the same free fall we witnessed during the 08 housing crash because the economy could not keep up w/ the lack of money being circulated.

There's no question that kicking out 11M consumers would be an economic catastrophe. The only question is would Conservatives look around at the ashes of the economy, own it, and say "This is fine."

So which "Kick them all out/no-amnesty/America for Americans" voters on here will admit that they are okay with that outcome and would own it as the result of their philosophy?
What an unsubstantiated sense of grandeur, in that you and others think illegals are so damn important, the US economy will collapse without them, lol.

But are you now confirming that non-conservatives believe in open borders and allowing people to continually break the law by entering and staying in the country?

That's exactly what the OP is confirming. He is arguing that without illegals our economy would collapse, or suffer. Thus, he thinks the more illegals the libs can allow into the country, the better the country will be.

He also shows the infuriating attitude coming from the New Democrats that semi-illterate illegal aliens who can't even afford to feed their own kids are more valuable to America than tax-paying, law-abiding Republicans.

I seriously doubt that his concern is about our economy or that he even believes himself that they are good for our economy. He has a vested interest in illegal immigration and an agenda to keep illegal aliens here and to keep more coming. Guaranteed! He fools no one.

More economically efficient to take Peter's money, pay bureaucrats salaries, offices, etc., take out the cost of the waste, fraud and abuse that is inherent in everything the government touches, then give it to Paul?

How on earth is that more efficient?

So completely off topic, I can't even fathom where this fits remotely into this conversation. But thanks for playing............

Uh, posts lamenting money sent BACK from here...my point, if not clear, is that the money moves back and forth regularly.

"U.S. goods and services trade with Mexico totaled an estimated $615.9 billion in 2017"

When a Mexican wires money back, who does it? What storefront? Who owns the shopping center? Who owns the banks and wire services? Then when Mom back in Mexico goes to American Costco and buys American products there, more jobs are produced here.

What is it about that you don't understand?
https://www.washingtonpost.com/world...=.c3c09ca367a3

"MEXICO CITY — When the governor of Colorado came to Mexico on a trade mission this year to see the sights, “one of the most amazing” was a Costco.

“It was as big, clean and modern as any in America,” recalled Gov. John Hickenlooper (D), who found the aisles filled with shoppers bearing “nothing but positive feelings toward the United States.”

Especially toward U.S. stuff.

The Costco was stocked with products stamped “Made in U.S.A.,” including some of the $755 million in goods that Colorado exports to Mexico each year: marbled slabs of steak from Greeley, cans of pinto beans from Holyoke and sacks of russet potatoes out of Monte Vista. "

If you can't fathom large numbers, economics or international trade then a debate is useless. Keep on repeating "what you heard somewhere that sounds right" as "facts".
