We finally got fed up and gave up on government altogether.

Anarchist and libertarian Twitter consists of thousands of us.

Actually you are confused.

You should pick up a dictionary before you correct someone on a definition.

Socialism is where the means of production and distribution are owned collectively by workers or the government.

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/socialism

Communism is a step beyond that whereby all of the goods are collectively owned and people take what they need.

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/communism

Since I am 100% correct and you are wrong, will you apologize for calling me out when you didn't have a clue what you were talking about.

I was responding to a post mocking concerns against socialism. Socialism should be a concern to those who value economic freedom.

Friedman's piece that was cited in the original post was to real people arguing for real socialism.

There might not be major public figures arguing for pure socialism, but there are some Americans who do, and it is important to be clear as many people today don't have a clue. Look at the posters sanspeur and northman83, they are clueless. Correcting me for using the actual definition while thinking they are knowledgeable. Bernie has misused the definition too...see Denmark. And AOC advocates for socialism without distinction and is popular for it.

So I think it is important to make definitions clear...a slippery slope when we can misuse definitions.

The original folded when those like Palin took over.

On one thing we seem to agree, the Tea Party brand is now toxic and associated with white nationalism. Pompeo, one of Trump's lackeys and a big supporter of the tariff induced farm bailouts is a Tea Party Republican. To me, that says a lot about the sincerity and principles of the Tea Party. Or Tea Party V2 as you would call it.
No disagreement there.

You either accept Socialism or it's bad. Yes, the Federal Reserve is a huge Socialist program.

That's Fox News propaganda. The FED saved our butts in the eighties when it brought inflation under control.

The Fed did nothing of the sort. They manipulated interest rates and the monetary supply, which debased the currency and led to the early 90s recession.

If abolishing the Federal Reserve is Fox propaganda why do they never talk about doing it, and why did they deliberately smear Ron Paul?

Finally, history shows that you cannot have political freedom without economic freedom. The moment you begin to limit economic freedom, you begin to limit political freedom; the goal of socialism is to limit economic freedom, meaning the result is limited political freedom. We have seen this happen throughout history, from the Soviet Union to Venezuela, and now we even see the middle class revolting against the high levels of taxation (i.e. limit on economic freedom) required by socialism in Paris, France."
But Social Security and Medicare don't reject private property.

IF you don't want homeless camps in your area maybe have mental health facilities that are not like jails and job opportunities with competitive wages for those that are not mentally ill, on drugs or felons.

I hear all this talk of freedom and then all this brutality towards the homeless, creation of bogus laws that criminalize their inevitable behavior due to their being homeless. Shouldn't I be free to NOT take your ****ty mcjob and instead choose to be homeless so long as I am not breaking any REAL laws (like theft, armed robbery, assault, etc)?
But most people who are opposed to socialism want to declare war on the poor and the homeless. They are seen as nothing but moochers upon society, not producers. They are also seen as tax consumers.

Freedom to starve to death. Freedom to be homeless. Freedom to die because of lack of medical care. Freedom to work 80 hours a week without a decent living or any rights. Freedom to be dependent on your children to keep you in room and board when you retire. Freedom to be used, abused and left for dead.

Try eating the constitution when you are hungry, or wearing it when you are cold, or making a tent out of it when you are homeless.

If it weren't for all the socialist safety nets the hungry and homeless and old would be invading your houses, eating your food, and killing you like they did the middle class in Cambodia and the wealthy during the French revolution.

Be careful what you wish for.

"April 15th of this year marks the 10th anniversary of the Tax Day Tea Party Rallies. We want to know if you are willing to help organize or to attend local rallies on Monday, April 15th with the theme to stop socialism and choose freedom.

Milton Friedman said it well when he said:
“Maybe I did well and maybe I led the battle but nobody ever said we were going to win this thing at any point in time. Eternal vigilance is required and there have to be people who step up to the plate, who believe in liberty, and who are willing to fight for it.”

It’s exciting to be celebrating our tenth anniversary and I’m hopeful that all of you will continue to be patriots who believe in liberty and are willing to stand up and fight for it!

Let’s do this!"

More important then ever with all the socialists in government now.

The Tea Party was an angry response to a black man becoming President.
In my town, the tea party meetings ended up where you go to hear one or two old people listening to themselves talk. People got tired of it, and it didn't help things when the oldest lady of the group died. So the tea party died in my town.
