Sanders has declared that the war against labor unions is:
Quote:
"part of the concerted attack on the middle class and working families of this country by the very wealthiest people in America.”
“These guys want to return us to the 1920s when working people had virtually no rights to organize or to earn a decent living,”
"We need to specifically and explicitly support trade UNIONS,” says the senator. “We need political leaders who don’t just say nice things about unions, and then sell out to corporate campaign contributors. We need political leaders who don’t just talk the talk, but who walk the walk—by standing with our union brothers and sisters on the picket lines, by standing with them in their organizing drives and by standing with them in their fight for economic justice.”
You have no credibility when quoting a Communist publication.
Its not a communist publication, its simply a pro-worker publication not owned by Time Warner and Comcast and a couple of other huge corporations unlike NYTimes, CNN, ABC and NBC.
But you want to revert back to the 18th century where workers didnt have labor unions. Whats so great about that?
Is it merely a coincidence that the ruling class also wants to go back to that period, with no labor rights, no labor unions and third world drudgery for the masses?
Whats so great about workers not having labor unions like in the 18th century? Was the 18th century really that great for workers in your view?
Hint: It's not the 18th century anymore.
The purpose that unions once served is no longer necessary.
We have other laws and agencies that serve to prevent the abuses that unions were formed to prevent.
... Minimum wage, , overtime, OSHA, environmental regulations, etc.
Also, the media and internet technology has made public pressure vastly more powerful than it was even in the recent past, much less the 18th century.
Unions do do little but raise costs to the consumer while collecting dues from members and support Democrat candidates and causes.
