Nice to see Huckabee taking some time off from praising his lard [sic] and savior and exemplar of moral purity Donald Trump to "weigh" in on a sensitive topic.

Actually murder rates have been going down.

Hey, don't interrupt a nonsensical rant with facts. That's no fun!

or when we give a little slap on the wrist when children commit shoplifting, and then wonder why they grow up to be criminals.

or when we accept less than the best from people, and then wonder why everyone has a bad attitude when dealing with people.

Or maybe all that violence you speak of is caused by people being forced to have children they don't want, neglecting them and letting them grow up to be criminals? I'll note I've provided as much causal evidence as you have.

if someone else's opinion triggers you so bad maybe you need to look in the mirror

You have every right to hate gay people with every fiber in your body. What you don't have the right to do is encode that hatred into our laws. Separation of church and state.

It's not the 1980s anymore. Violent crime has fallen to the point where a few years ago it wasn't much higher than it was in those supposedly glorious 1950s and early 1960s...the time everyone romanticizes and wishes we could return to. However, I think due to Republican policies we are going to have another crime wave in the very near future.

So has the abortion rate.

They both peaked at somewhere around 1980-1981.

Looks like the easiest way to reduce the murder rate is to eliminate unnecessary convenience abortions.

Except that non-traditional lifestyles have become more accepted than they ever were and violent crime is at an all time low. Your post is the hellfire you wish would happen the reality is very Christian like tolerance throughout society (except for some fundies).

I'll grant your last paragraph has a passel of truth in it. We accept behavior from a president that is excessively un-presidential.

Yes, because everyone knows that correlation equals causation.

Isn't this a Christian thing ? "Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself." Seems pretty self explanatory.
