Manafort was involved with the Trump campaign officially for five months, and according to his daughter, continued talking on the phone with Trump after that for who knows how long.
It strains credibility that Trump was a clueless Mr. Magoo as he, his son, son-in-law, Campaign Manager, National Security Advisor, etc. were meeting and exchanging information with agents of the Russian government.
